Corrections

Anyone can challenge a rating, including the business being rated. Tell us what is wrong and show us the evidence, and we will check it against the source we used. If we got it wrong we correct it and record the correction below, in public.

What we commit to

• We acknowledge every challenge within 5 working days.
• We reach a decision within 20 working days of acknowledging it, and tell you the reason either way.
• If we were wrong, we correct the record, log the correction below with its date, and the corrected version carries a fresh checked date.
• If we were right, we tell you which source we relied on, so you can see exactly what we assessed.
• A challenge never costs anything, and buying anything from us never speeds one up.

What helps us decide quickly

The strongest challenges point at a source. A link to a certification register entry, a current composition or ingredient list, or a manufacturer document settles most disputes in one exchange.

Ratings follow the published Throne Standard, so a challenge to the method itself is worth making separately from a challenge to a specific fact.
