Current openings

Oppertunities for remote workers who thrive independently. We’re in the startup phase, but this isn’t my first build. After 12 years as head of department of a 150-person team in corporate education in the UK, I stepped away from that world to focus on creating meaningful impact.

I’m building a small, exceptional team of self-driven people who genuinely align with the mission.

Alongside running this directory, I’m also head of production for a documentary series filming ethical consumerism at the source around the world. This means I’m often travelling, so autonomy, reliability, and strong delivery really matter.

I’ll be upfront: these aren’t the highest-payouts right now. They reflect the current startup budget. But the vision is growth together. As the platform expands, pay increases too. Transparency matters here, we build this collectively.

All roles are freelance.

Looking for an experienced, fast-paced video editor to produce high-retention, educational short-form content for a growing ethical consumerism platform and directory. Our audience are UK, USA./ Canada and Europe.

This is a new weekly show on sustainability and conscious living, hosted by an LGBTQ+, lifelong plant-based, zero-waste creator with 8M monthly views.

About the editing

This role is output-based, not hourly. We care most about quality, clarity, and consistency rather than rigid daily quotas.

Each month we focus on 5 main topics in a different country around the world:

  • Local Environmental Challenges / Heros

  • Local cultures

  • Sustainability

For each topic, we film one long-form episode (YouTube weekly show format).

Your role is to create engaging social media edits from this long-form content.

Tasks

up to 210 videos a month ( we post 6-7 times a day)

  • Shorter videos will be 7 seconds
  • Longer videos will be up to 2 minutes of educational content which is cut from Long From video. Which needs more attention to flow, make sense and engage the user.

You will get access to a shared drive which contains all of the raw video files to be edited.

Your Experience

  • Self-starter who can work independently

  • Strong sense of emotional pacing and educational clarity

  • Proven ability to create engaging short-form content

  • Adobe Premiere Pro + After Effects (Adobe Suite workflow)

Inclusivity

POC and LGBTQ+ editors are welcome and encouraged to apply.

A strong alignment with ethical consumerism, sustainability, zero waste, and plant-based living is required.

Workflow

We want edits completed steadily over the first 3 weeks of the month, so we have time for review and refinements.

  • Weeks 1–3: Editing + draft delivery in batches

  • Week 4: Recap meeting, final approvals, and any revisions before publishing

Freelancers are welcome to work at their own pace, but we want to avoid all content being delivered at the very last minute.

Production Schedule Example

  • Filming takes place in January
  • Editing happens throughout February
  • Content is published in March

Communication

We meet twice per month during the final week:

  1. Review and green-light completed edits for the upcoming month

  2. Brief the next set of filmed topics and answer questions before editing begins
