Coco Hill Forest is a 53 acre regenerative agroforestry project on Richmond Road in St Joseph, in the hilly Scotland District on the east side of Barbados. It has around 3.5km of trails running through primary rainforest, tree ferns, royal palms, bamboo groves, fruit trees, spices, herbs and medicinal plants, with fresh water springs on the property and views out over the east coast.
Why this one
The site is being actively regenerated rather than cleared, planting food and forest together on land in the Scotland District. Visitors walk the working agroforest itself.
