Known Supply names the individual person who made each garment, letting shoppers enter the maker’s name printed on the product into a Meet the Makers search to see who made it. Known Supply discloses its Fair Trade Certified facilities across Lima in Peru, Gulu in Uganda, several cities in India and Shanghai in China, and holds B Corp certification. Known Supply grew out of the non-profit Krochet Kids intl., founded in Uganda in 2007. Known Supply offers exceptional maker-level cut-make-trim transparency, though it does not publish raw-fibre or cotton origin, mills or dye houses.

How it was read: Every product listed in the brand's live catalogue is retrieved and its stated fibre composition read individually. From the product page, the store's own product data and its material labels. A fibre percentage is published only when 100% of the catalogue has been read. Items with no clothing textile (gift cards, packaging, jewellery, homeware) are excluded from the percentage rather than counted as a pass or a fail.
