What this scan could read
265 / 316
products with a published composition
Every product in Alpkit's live catalogue was retrieved and the fibre composition Alpkit publishes on that product page was read as written. Each composition was then checked again against the live page, so nothing here is inferred from a product name.
Not recorded (49): Alpkit publishes no readable fibre composition for these 49 products, almost all of them footwear, wetsuits and waterproof shells, where Alpkit describes the membrane and the construction rather than a fibre composition. They are counted in the range total and are shown as unstated in the breakdown, so the share of the range that could not be read stays visible.

Excluded: Nothing is excluded. Every product in the clothing and footwear range counts towards the percentages, including those with no published composition, which appear as unstated.
Red flags found while reading this brand
- Two Alpkit products publish their composition with no space between fields, as "100% nylonMembrane: PUBacker: 100% polyester". The first reading missed both fibres because of it, and both are now recorded as synthetic.
- The previous scan had indexed the whole Alpkit shop, books, maps and bikes included, so 77% of it returned no fibre and the range read as mostly unreadable. This scan covers the 316 clothing and footwear products only.
- Composition is published four different ways on this site: a labelled Fabric line, an unlabelled paragraph, inside prose, and inside an escaped script payload. It took four passes to read them all.
- 51 Alpkit products publish no fibre composition at all, almost all footwear, wetsuits and waterproof shells, where Alpkit describes the membrane rather than the fabric.
