Questions people ask before joining
Is Hold the Throne free to use?
Yes. A free Hold the Throne account lets you browse every vertical we publish, read three full brand reports, run three comparisons a month and use all nine buying tools. The directory pages for farm shops, markets, pick your own and eco stays stay open to everyone, account or not.
What does membership add?
Membership opens every brand report in full rather than three, removes the cap on Compare, unlocks the eco guides, the vitality and itinerary planners, the member rewards wall and the data downloads. One membership covers both the Hold the Throne website and the app.
How much does membership cost?
Membership is £9.99 a month, £27.99 every three months, or £59.99 for a year at the founding price, which works out at about £5 a month. The founding yearly price is held for as long as you stay a member.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every Hold the Throne membership starts with three days free. Your card is stored when you join so the membership can continue without interruption, and the first payment is taken after the third day.
How do I cancel?
Open your account page and cancel in one click. There is no email to send and nobody to talk to. You keep every membership feature until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are never charged again after that.
Where do the ratings come from?
Every rating on Hold the Throne is read from the brand’s own published composition or ingredient list, then recorded with the source it came from. Nothing is estimated from a brand’s marketing language, and a brand with no published data is marked as not assessed rather than guessed at.
Does my account work in the app as well?
Yes. Hold the Throne uses one account across the website and the mobile app, so whatever you save, compare or unlock in one appears in the other. You sign in with a six digit code sent to your email, so there is no password to remember.
What happens to my email address?
Your email is used to sign you in, to send the reports and updates you ask for, and for nothing else. We do not sell data to anyone. You can unsubscribe from every email and still keep your account and everything saved in it.
