About Finisterre Wetsuit
Owner · Tom Kay (founder, 2003)
Finisterre makes its wetsuits from Yulex natural rubber sourced from FSC certified Hevea plantations that it traces back to smallholders in Thailand and Vietnam, and states the suits are built by its partner factory Plethora in Thailand. Finisterre switched its entire wetsuit range to Yulex in 2021 and names both the material supplier and the factory. The main gaps are that Finisterre does not publish a full component supplier list, and lining, nylon and glue sources are less documented than the natural rubber.

How Finisterre Wetsuit compares across published ratings
Work out the real cost per wear
Use the price and realistic wear count to compare long-term value.
Cost per wear is the honest test behind "buy less, buy better": a £200 coat worn 300 times beats a £25 one worn 5 times. It rewards wearing what you own and choosing things built to last.
