Ocean Spray Apartments is a family-run, eco-conscious self-catering stay at Surfer's Point in Inch Marlow, on the wilder south-east coast of Barbados and well away from the west-coast resort strip. Its gardens grow coconut palms, sea grapes, ginger, turmeric and aloe vera, and its Mamu's Cafe serves food grown at the owners' 53-acre fruit forest and farm at Coco Hill. The apartments are switching over to solar power, trading resort polish for a quieter, lower-impact base beside the Atlantic surf.
