MagicLinen Bedding

MagicLinen offers bedding that is 99.0% plant fibre across 207 distinct styles scanned. The rest breaks down as 1.0% animal fibre. MagicLinen’s sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases are 100% single fibre European flax linen, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, with no bamboo, Tencel, polyester or animal fibre in the core bedding, and it is one of the cleanest linen brands. Under the Throne Standard it does not reach full marks, because it also sells a down duvet insert and a down pillow insert, which are animal fibre, and a polyester pillow protector. Choose MagicLinen’s 100% linen sheeting, covers and pillowcases for a plant fibre bed.

About MagicLinen

MagicLinen is strong on materials: our scan found its sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases are 100% European flax linen, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified and made locally in Lithuania. Under our plant fibre only standard the caveat is that it also sells down inserts, which are animal fibre, and a polyester pillow protector.
MagicLinen weaves and sews its bedding locally in Lithuania from European flax linen. The brand is based in Vilnius.
MagicLinen was founded in 2015 by Vita Murauskiene and is a woman owned, family run company based in Vilnius, Lithuania.
MagicLinen’s linen is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, meaning it is tested for over a hundred harmful substances. It uses no bamboo, Tencel or polyester in its core linen bedding.
MagicLinen’s linen sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases are plant fibre and vegan, but the brand also sells a down duvet insert and a down pillow, which are animal fibre, so choose the linen bedding and a plant filled insert for a vegan bed.
MagicLinen is largely non-toxic: 98.8% of its range is plant fibre that breathes and biodegrades, with 0.0% plastic-based synthetics that can shed microplastics. Certifications: MagicLinen holds OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification (certificate number 2019OK0776), which verifies the finished fabric is tested free of harmful substances. This is the only third-party product certification MagicLinen holds and documents. MagicLinen uses European flax fibre but does NOT hold the official European Flax / Masters of Linen (now Masters of Flax Fibre) certification from the Alliance for European Flax-Linen & Hemp. It has NO GOTS certification (its linen is not organic-certified), NO Fair Trade certification, and NO B Corp certification. Its fair-labour and sustainability claims are self-reported with no third-party workforce audit certification..
MagicLinen holds the following certifications: MagicLinen holds OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification (certificate number 2019OK0776), which verifies the finished fabric is tested free of harmful substances. Beyond any paper certification, our scan of 168 MagicLinen styles found 98.8% is 100% plant fibre, which is the measurable material fact behind MagicLinen’s claims.
MagicLinen’s linen is European flax, confirmed in the product data we scanned, and linen is the dominant fibre across MagicLinen’s range. MagicLinen garments are made in MagicLinen garments and home textiles are designed and handcrafted in-house in Lithuania (Vilnius / a rural Lithuanian production facility). Our scan of 168 MagicLinen styles found 98.8% is 100% plant fibre, so MagicLinen is a genuinely linen-led natural fibre brand.
How we scan. Every figure comes from the Throne Standard scan: we read the fibre composition off each live product on MagicLinen’s own site, style by style, colourways deduplicated, and categorise it by its literal fibre content. Plant fibre means organic cotton, cotton, linen and hemp; animal fibre means wool, down, alpaca and silk; a fill insert is scored by its fill, not its cotton shell. This scan covers MagicLinen’s bedding and bed linen and excludes decorative throws, bath and apparel.
