Between Bathsheba and Cattlewash, St Joseph, Barbados
About 85 acres of tropical woodland around a natural gorge running from the inland hills to the sea, crossed by a rebuilt 70-foot pedestrian bridge on the old railway foundation.
The bridge was rebuilt in ten days for about BBD$50,000 by the Future Centre Trust, Cattlewash property owners and the Tourism Development Corporation, reopening December 2020 after fifteen years. Part of the Barbados Trailway project turning the abandoned 1937 railway into a public walking and cycling route. Free, community-restored access.
