Bazoo sell a genuinely unbleached range and a chlorine free white range with no inks or dyes, so their bleaching is honest. The problem is the fibre. A Which? laboratory fibre test (TAPPI T 401, November 2023) found Bazoo rolls were only 26% bamboo, the rest virgin hardwood, against a bamboo claim. Bamboo is a fast growing grass, virgin hardwood is felled trees. A natural plant fibre, not a synthetic, but the pack claim does not match the lab result, so the fibre cannot be verified and the score is held. The same test found Cheeky Panda and Who Gives A Crap genuinely 100% bamboo.
