About Aqualung

Aqualung produces the neoprene in its mainstream dive wetsuits, such as the AquaFlex and DynaFlex ranges, without petroleum: the carbon black is pyrolysed from scrap rubber tyres rather than mined, the suits are free of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, the linings use dope dyed yarns that cut water and energy use, and the panels are laminated with a water based Aqua glue that removes solvent based adhesives, with Aqualung citing a reduction of around 200g of CO2 per wetsuit.
Aqualung’s XSCAPE line pairs a fully neoprene free wetsuit made with Yulex natural rubber with rash guards and leggings knitted from polyester recovered from recycled plastic bottles, and Aqualung ships the whole XSCAPE range in plastic free packaging with hangtags made from recycled cardboard plus a reusable mesh bag.
