National Environmental Centre
A small free exhibit on the wildlife and ecosystems of the islands, and the best orientation before you walk anywhere. Daily eight to half four.
Chalk Sound National Park
A shallow turquoise lagoon studded with hundreds of rocky islets, and a stronghold for the endemic Turks and Caicos rock iguana. Free. Feeding or touching the iguanas carries fines, and drones are illegal.

The only established hiking trail on Providenciales, 1.3km out to the point through coastal scrub and wetland.
Day 2: Cross to North Caicos
Ferry from Walkin Marina.
Middle Caicos Co-op

Authentic pieces carry a Handmade Turks and Caicos Islands tag. Hours are not published, so ring ahead.

Walk the old road.
Crossing Place Trail
The historic route that linked Middle and North Caicos before motorboats, restored by local volunteers with the National Trust. Free, always open, and the way to reach Mudjin Harbour on foot rather than through a resort car park.
