The brand’s fabric is made by co-operatives in Gujarat, India, run on the principles set down by Mahatma Gandhi to empower rural people, with cotton from local small farms close to the co-operative. The hand spinning and hand weaving are virtually carbon free, and the natural dyeing uses a fifth of the water of conventional dyeing.
